Old Dutch -Delft walltiles mural, ca.1870

A very nice Dutch-Delft mural, 6 tiles in bleu, ca.1870. It shows a couple sitting in an open carriage (Landauer), passing a gardenhouse with a domed roof. Each tile: 13 cm x 13 cm. (5.12 inch). A few little restorations is done by a professional, nothing to see at the frontside, nothing!

Régency style Fireplace with the original 'trumeau'. Ca.1775

An exceptional Régency-style fireplace with it's original 'trumeau' in marble. Dating from the 18th century. Made from two Belgian marbles: Waulsort and Saint Anna. The beautiful and sturdy shelf rests on two monumental jambs, made from Saint Anna marble, in perfect match with the overall Waulsort marble. This fireplace with it's original trumeau in marble is rare to find and one of the most striking chimneypieces we have came across! A large wooden panel is placed in the trumeau, presenting a Louis XVI style decor..

Louis XV fireplace in Brèche Violet marble, ca.1860

A very fine Rococo-Louis XV chimnepiece made out of the highly valued Brèche Violet marble. The double moulded shelf rests above a finely carved and panelled frieze, centered with a beautiful cartouche, flanked by foliate scrollwork with trailing flowers. This motif is echoed on the scrolling endblocks ànd the canted console jambs. French, ca.1860. Brèche Violet marble: A stunning natural stone, characterised by it's striking violet and soft hooveringgrey and white veining. It was highly prized in the 18th and 19th century. This distinctive marble brougth opulence, luxury and elegance to interior-spaces and architectural elements. Fireplace in Rouge Royal marble Napoléon III

Elégant ànd sturdy fireplace surround in highly valued Rouge Royal marble, found in a 'Maison Maitre' in Brussels. Ca.1875. The Rouge Royal is named for the French King Louis XIV, who loved this marble so much for decorating the Versaille Palace. Little fossils to see also in this marble. A fossil is not the animal. The fossil is not the bones of the animal. The fossil is the stone-memory of the bones of the animal, just to say. Double moulded shelf is resting on massive jambs. Will be delivered with original old marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor. We have also decor-foyertiles in stock, style-period 1875. Louis XV style fireplace, Carrara marble

Important Louis XV fireplace-surround, sturdy, curved and richly carved in veined Carrara marble. Ca.1875. Recently found and currently being cleaned now in my workshop. -Under Louis XV, 1710-1774, the shell (or Rocaille) is very often used as a motif in the center of the frieze (lintel) as well at the top of the jambs. The general shape of the frieze becomes more curved.- On the photo here, you can see that the two retours of the shelf are connected already with the shelf. That makes this version as a surround. So this fireplace has also deeper sidepanels. But this fireplace can be easy made to a frontmodel, if you like. The beauty of this fireplace is also the extra height: 120 cm. With an average length of 143 cm. Fireplace will be delivered with original Carrara marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor. Also in stock: Louis XV foyertiles. Worldwide shipping.
